The Hush Post: Indian woman shuttler PV Sindhu has reached the final at the Asian Games 2018 being held in Jakarta. Sindhu become the first Indian to reach an Asian Games badminton final.
PV Sindhu assures herself of at least a silver medal by reaching the final with a 21-17, 15-21, 21-10 win over world No.2 from Japan Akane Yamaguchi. She will face world No.1 Tai Tzu Ying in the final at 10:30 am (IST) on Tuesday.
Saina Nehwal will have to settle for a bronze as she lost her semi-final against Chinese Taipei’s Tai Tzu Ying in straight games 17-21, 14-21 in the women’s singles. Saina had lost her last nine matches against Tzu Ying, including three in the 2018 season.
Now PV Sindhu has a chance to give India a first Gold and also end her run of Silvers at major tournaments.
