The Hush Post: There was mid-air emergency for passengers of Delhi-bound passengers travelling in Air India flight from Chennai.
Air India Delhi-bound flight with 131 passengers on board was forced to return to the airport after a bird-hit just 20 minutes into the flight as per reports.
The flight ‘AI 440’ was airborne for nearly 20 minutes after a bird hit the plane. This forced the plane to return to Chennai, an Air India spokesperson confirmed.
“All passengers were safe and the aircraft is currently being inspected by engineers of Air India to ascertain any damages caused due to the bird strike,” the spokesperson, said
The stranded passengers were later accommodated in the airline’s next flights as well as in those operated by private carriers, it was reported.
