The Hush Post: If rumours are to be believed, the OnePlus 6 might look strikingly similar to Apple’s flagship mobile phone, the iPhone X. The Oppo R15 was launched in China on Monday, and it features a massive 6.28 inch OLED full HD+ (1080×2280) display with 19:9 aspect ratio. A leak from earlier this month had suggested that the OnePlus 6 is also expected to feature a display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. This is taller than that of the OnePlus 5T, which has an 18:9 panel.
Why are we paying such close attention to the Oppo launch, one may ask. It is because OnePlus and Oppo have a shared ownership, and thus, the designs of these two mobile are quite often, pretty similar. The OnePlus and Oppo R11 are quite alike, and the OnePlus 5T and Oppo R11S look almost exactly the same.
The OnePlus 6 is also expected to come with an iPhone X like notch, and previously leaks also indicate that the OnePlus 6 might look a lot like the newly launched Oppo R15.
If we look at the specifications of the Oppo R15, it is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P20 SoC, along with ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU and also offers 6GB of Ram. The OnePlus 6, however, is expected to come with Snapdragon 845 instead of the SoC.
The Oppo R15 also has a horizontal dual-camera on the back, which offers a portrait mode. Running on Android 8.1, it is a pretty amazing device, and thus we can expect the same from the OnePlus 6 as well.
Another sister company, Vivo, launched two new handsets, the Vivo X21 and X21 UD. Looking at their designs, one can conclude that the OnePlus 6 might feature an in-display fingerprint sensor.
