The Hush Post: Facebook, the Whatsapp owners, after months of testing is ready to offer the payment transfer facility to its users on Whatsapp. The company had started a pilot project for android and iOS users in India, after looking into its pros and cons it will now widen the horizon in the times to come. Already the facility is available to some of the users.
The payment is powered by UPI which will help users send and receive payments. The UPI (Unified Payment Interface) enabled payment was successful last year itself. In 2017, about 145 million transactions took place in India through UPI facility.
After that the payment option is visible with a couple of other options, the user has to click on the list of banks which appears. Then one has to link the bank to which the payment has to be made and then enter the account. The procedure of payment is similar to the way transaction is made through PAYTM .
