A 13-year-old boy from Telangana committed suicide after losing class monitor elections against a girl of his class. The boy has been identified as Charan, who was a student of class 8. According to the reports, the dead body of the deceased was found on a railway track in Ramannapet area on Friday.
DCP Bhongir, Narayan Reddy, reportedly told ANI, “In the wee hours, we received a complaint from the parents of 13-year-old boy stating that he was missing since Thursday evening. Immediately, a missing case was registered and on Friday afternoon, he was found dead at a railway track at Ramannapet area.”
Further, he said, “It is noticed that Charan was disturbed for the past three days as he lost the class monitor elections in his school. He was studying in 8th standard and three days ago, the school management had conducted elections in his class for the class leader. He lost the elections to a girl student of his class. Being disturbed by the loss, Charan committed suicide.”
The dead body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem to a local hospital. The DCP reportedly said that a case will be registered and investigation will take place if Charan’s parents file a complaint against the school management.”
