Balka Suman is a legislator from Telangana’s ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party, a report said.
The victim women have alleged that the Telangana Police had refused to take action against Balka Suman, who is an MLA from Peddapalle constituency. They have now written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking his intervention in the matter, the report said.
It has been reported that the victim women with the help of two local journalists and two advocates wrote to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) further stating that they have been facing harassment due to the complaint filed against MLA Balka Suman, it was reported.
On the other hand, refuting the allegations MLA Balka Suman claimed that the women and two men had trespassed into his property in the Banjara Hills area of Hyderabad, triggering an altercation, the report said.
Peddapalli MLA Balka Suman was a prominent face of the campaign for an separate state’s status for Telangana.
