A 68-year-old man from Hyderabad has used the wedding invitation card of his son as a platform to campaign for prime minister, Narendra Modi in the coming Lok Sabha elections.
Subhash Rao Yande, a retired electrical contractor asked guests to avoid extravagant presents. Instead, he sought promise to vote for Modi as a gift to the couple who will get married on February 21.

The cover of the wedding card reads “Our Gift is your VOTE for MODI in 2019 Lok Sabha Election”.

Subhash Rao said, “Voting to get Modi to power itself is a gift for the couple. He has invited several people for the wedding of his son Mukesh with Anusha. Further, he said, “My son too is a supporter of Modi and it was his interest too of printing the ‘Vote for Modi’ plea on the wedding card,”.

Referring to Modi, Yande said, “We are all so busy with our day-to-day affairs that we find it difficult to give time to do something for our nation… The least we can do is to support someone who toils for the nation.”

A total of 600 wedding cards are printed with the appeal. He has already started distributing them among his relatives and friends.
