Septuagenarian Lakshmi Bai from Madhya Pradesh’s Sehore took up typing work to repay their loans when her daughter met with an accident
The Hush Post: A septuagenarian woman from Sehore of Madhya Pradesh has earned the tag of “Superwoman” as in a 70-years plus age she is fighting against all odds to repay their loans. This tag has been given to her by none other than the swashbuckling former India batsman Virender Sehwag.
A 72-year-old Lakshmi Bai has taken up the work of typing documents to earn a livelihood and repay their family loans in front of the Sehore district collectorate, a report said.
Lakshmi Bai’s story attracted the media when her video went viral on social media recently and she ended up getting attention from none other than former cricketer Virender Sehwag, who termed her a “superwoman” on Twitter.
“I do this to repay loans I took after my daughter met with an accident. I can’t beg. I got this job with help of then district collectorate Raghvendra Singh and sub-divisional magistrate Bhavana Vilambe,” Lakshmi Bai was quoted as saying.
Virender Sehwag had tweeted a video of Lakshmi Bai on June 12, saying that India’s youth can learn a lot from her.
“A superwoman for me. She lives in Sehore in Madhya Pradesh and the youth have so much to learn from her. Not just speed, but the spirit and a lesson that no work is small and no age is big enough to learn and work,” Sehwag had tweeted.
“Felt good that Virender Sehwag shared my video. I need help to repay the loans and get a permanent house,” Lakshmi Bai was quoted.
