Dream girl Hema Malini tried her hand at cutting wheat crop in Mathura on Sunday. With a sickle in hand and draped in a saree, the BJP leader joined farmers in a field in Govardhan area. She even picked up a bundle of wheat crop and carried it some distance.
Hema Malini is contesting Lok Sabha elections for the second time from Mathura. In 2014, she had won by over 3,30,000 votes.
“When I was going to the villages, I saw golden coloured wheat ready to be harvested… I tried my hand. Women in the fields welcomed me warmly. We visited 10 villages,” she said.

The BJP lawmaker also posted few of her pictures with local farmers on Twitter.
“Began my Lok Sabha campaign… with the Govardhan Kshetra, where I had the opportunity to interact with women working in the fields,” she tweeted.
Meanwhile, her rivals have labeled her an outsider. The Congress has fielded newcomer Mahesh Pathak while the SP-BSP alliance has given ticket to Kunwar Narendra Singh.
