The Hush Post: In an incident that can send chills down the spine of anyone, a two-year-old infant girl was eaten alive by a pack of stray dogs in Bhim Nagar Colony in Govind Puri area of Modinagar in Ghaziabad.
An officer of the District Administration confirmed the news on Wednesday, a report said.
A pack of stray dogs took the two-year-old infant from a double-storey building to a sugarcane field and ate her on Tuesday, Modinagar’s Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Pawan Agarwal was quoted as saying.
After the incident, irate residents of the area raised slogans against the Modinagar Municipality, the report said.
“Taking cognizance of the death of the baby, orders were passed to the municipality officials to catch the stray dogs. A drive was launched and many dogs were caught after giving them tranquillisers,” SDM Agarwal was quoted as having said.
