In a bizarre incident, 15 persons including the groom fell into a drain in Hoshiyarpur village of Noida. The incident took place in the evening when 15 persons, including the groom, were dancing on a small bridge and it collapsed all of a sudden.
According to the reports, the bridge connected the wedding banquet hall’s gate to its lawn. The two were built over a drain. Two children below the age of 8 were also injured. The injured were immediately rushed to the hospital for the treatment.
According to the eyewitnesses, the wedding procession (Baraat) was heading towards the entrance of the wedding venue. They had been dancing for over 10 minutes on the bridge. Many people who fell into the drain lost their mobile and jewellery. The incident created tension among the families. It ended only after the owner of the banquet hall paid Rs 3 lakh in cash to the bride’s family.
The groom was identified as 35-year-old Amit Yadav, a businessman from Ghaziabad. The bride, 32-year-old Sonam, was a resident of Delhi. No case was registered as both the parties reached a mutual agreement.
