Foreigner women among 35 arrested from alleged “sex trade” spa centres in Noida

Noida police arrested 35 people, including 25 women, on Sunday night during raids at 14 spa centres, which were allegedly running sex rackets.

According to the official reports, there were many foreigner women among those arrested. However, the police did not give the exact count.

Gautam Buddh Nagar (Rural) Superintendent of Police Vineet Jaiswal said, “On the directions of Senior Superintendent Vaibhav Krishna, the raids were conducted late in the evening at 14 spa centres in the commercial hub of sector 18. The raids continued till almost midnight.”

Fourteen police teams involving seven circle officers, eight station house officers, 30 sub-inspectors and both male and female constables carried out the action.

According to the reports, Rs one lac in cash, beer, used and unused, along with other objectionable articles were seized from the spa centres. All the 14 spa centres have been sealed.

A case has been registered against the spa centres. The owners of the centres would be charged under stringent Uttar Pradesh Gangster Act, the SP said.
