A case was registered against two policemen in Uttar Pradesh for allegedly raping a foreigner woman. The victim reportedly hailed from Kyrgyzstan and got married to a local man who lived in Hathras.
During the process of visa-extension, the foreigner woman met with one of the accused policemen. He took the woman to Lucknow saying that he would get her visa extended.
The accused reportedly raped the woman in Lucknow and also made a video of the incident. The accused also threatened her not to report the matter to the police. After that, the accused, along with his colleague, reportedly raped the woman again in a hotel in Mathura.
However, the woman escaped from the spot and filed a complaint against the policemen.
Two of the cops were held by the Mathura police and a case was registered against them on the basis of the complaint.
