It took about 15 days to arrest Chinmayanand after a lot of pressure and media activism. And compare this with another hilarious incident where a teacher from Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar district was booked for hanging his undergarments in front of the collectorate office within minutes. The local police informed about the incident on Saturday, September 21.

According to the reports by News 18, the accused Vijay Singh is on a sit-in protest against a former legislator in a land grabbing case for last 23 years. The Station House Officer Sameypal Atri informed that Nazarat in-charge of Collectorate Sanjay Kumar had filed a complaint.

After the complaint, a case was registered against him under section 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of Indian Penal Code.

After the authorities asked him to put an end to his protest and move away from Collectorate office, Vijay Singh reportedly shifted his site of protest.

He started his sit-in protest on February 26, 1996, against the alleged land grabbing done by a former legislator.
