Woman president of UP Bar Council shot dead

In a stunning incident, lawyer Darvesh Yadav, the first woman president of UP Bar Council, was shot dead in Agra on Wednesday afternoon. She was elected as the President of UP Bar Council two days ago.
It is reported that the attacker was advocate Manish Sharma, who opened three rounds of fire at Yadav, who was inside the chambers of Advocate Arvind Kumar Mishra. As per eyewitnesses, after the attack, Manish Sharma fired a shot at himself.
She was the first woman to be the Chairman of UP Bar Council, who was elected two days back.
The crime graph has seen an alarming increase in crime-related activity post Lok Sabha polls. Apart from politics related killings like murder of BJP worker and Smriti Irani’s left-hand man in Amethi or Mayawati’s nephew, journalist Prashant kanojia was arrested over a tweet and now the killing of a woman lawyer in broad daylight, has raised questions.
