Ranu Mondal, the poor woman who had shot to limelight after singing iconic Lata Mangeshkar Song, has got a makeover. Mondal earns her livelihood by singing in trains and at railway stations. A video of her singing ‘Ek Pyar Ka Nagma Hai’ went viral on the social media.
Mondal was spotted singing the song at Ranaghat station in West Bengal. Her voice has taken the social media by storm. Renowned musician Shankar Mahadevan shared her video.
Now, Mondal has got a complete makeover. She is participating in a show. Pictures of her transformation are going viral too.
A report in the National Herald says a local administrative official has decided to felicitate Ranu Mondal on the occasion of Kanyashri Diwas on August 14.
Besides, she is also getting offers from Mumbai, Kerela and Bandladesh to perform live. Ranu Mondal’s video has gathered over 50 lakh views and over 500 shares till date. She hails from Krishnanagar in West Bengal.
