The Hush Post: In a shocking incident when recreation with family turned into mourning, a 28-year-old Bathinda woman was killed after her hair got caught in the wheel of a go-kart, open-wheel cars used for recreational purposes, in an amusement park in Pinjore. It ripped off her scalp from the head within seconds, she was rushed to the hospital immediately, by the time she was wheeled into the Sector 6 government hospital in Panchkula, she was brought dead. The incident happened at the Aqua Village amusement park, adjacent to Yadavindra Gardens in Pinjore on Wednesday.
The Haryana Police has booked the owner of the go-karting company. The Haryana Tourism Department has leased out the park to a private contractor Sushil Malik for 10 years in 2014. Malik claimed that all safety measures were taken by the park management.
Puneet Kaur, a resident of Rampura Phul in Bathinda, was on a holiday with her family. After attending a wedding in Chandigarh, the family went to a short outing in the vicinity to Timber Trail and on their way back, they decided to visit the amusement park .The victim’s husband, Amarjit Singh, was driving the go-kart while she was seated next to him. He stopped the go-kart car when she suddenly screamed.She was wearing a safety helmet at the time of the incident, but it fell from her head and the hair got entangled in the car wheel. Their two–year-old son was sitting in another go-kart with his grandmother. The family had booked four go-karts for six members. The incident left everyone shocked and go-karting was stopped immediately.
