Meanwhile, tension prevailed in the village as Hindu groups gathered in large numbers and protested against the incident
The Hush Post: A youth in Uttar Pradesh was booked for allegedly raping a 4-month-old calf. The calf died soon after. The incident took place in Baghpat’s Teelwada village on Saturday. However, the allegations will only be confirmed only after the lab report comes from Agra.
The youth, who belongs to the minority community, was booked under Sections 377 (unnatural offences) and 429 (mischief by maiming or killing cattle) of the IPC. He is yet to be arrested.
Meanwhile, tension prevailed in the village as Hindu groups gathered in large numbers and protested against the incident. They demanded immediate arrest of the youth.
Chaprauli PS SO, Vijay Kumar said a case has been registered on the statement of the calf owner. “An FIR has been filed against the youth whose family says he is a minor. His real age will be ascertained only after medical examination. A government veterinarian examined calf’s carcass who concluded that it died of internal injury. We have sent a sample to an Agra-based lab for confirmation of crime. We will arrest the boy soon,” he said.
It is to be noted that in July this year 8 persons in Haryana’s Nuh district were booked for raping a pregnant goat. The goat had died after the incident. The incident had taken place in Maroda village under the Nagina police station in Nuh.
